Bluffton Builders, comes with near 40 years of strong, hands on, business experience with owner Gary Chowansky at the lead.  Gary started his career in Turnersville, NJ in 1978 as a framing carpenter and quickly moved into owning his own custom home and remodeling company.  Always having a focus on higher end neighborhoods, Gary filled the demand for detailed craftsmanship and finish work, which has been featured in magazines and newspapers throughout the greater Philadelphia area.Gary ties his know-how with his wife Linda’s experience in interior design, to become a design build team you’d expect to see on TV. Linda focuses on creating timeless low country looks with a touch of both traditional or modern style to help you enjoy your new living space for years to come without it feeling dated.

They have a lifelong love for each other and a passion for creating dream living spaces for their clients. They offer services both together and separately to best suit your needs, should you already have a designer.   

In 2014, Gary and his wife Linda made the move to Bluffton, SC, and at that time, Gary started working with a local home builder in Palmetto Bluff managing their projects.

After a few years, he realized he was his best, back at the helm of his own operation.  In 2018, Gary started Bluffton Builders, a custom home and remodeling company focusing on Bluffton and Hilton Head’s most prestigious communities including Palmetto Bluff, Colleton River, Rose Hill Plantation, Hampton Hall, Hampton Lake, Palmetto Dunes, and Sea Pines Plantation. 

In 2020, Gary brought his son Ryan on as the Director of Marketing and Client Experience, to handle the outreach efforts needed to build the business out and reach the community effectively.  He has a background in experiential marketing for some of the countries largest brands.
