We enclosed this screened porch into a stunning four-season room so the homeowners could entertain and enjoy their May River views all year long. We kept the original fireplace, matched the existing hardwood from the rest of the home for a seamless flow, and built gorgeous custom pecky cypress cabinetry, with nearly every appliance hidden behind matching pecky cypress panels. The showpiece: an oyster shell backsplash running the entire wall, even behind the cabinets, hand-finished shell by shell.

This whole-home remodel was defined by stone. We carried it up the entire fireplace and mitered the edges so it reads like a single thick slab, a true focal point beneath the great room’s vaulted trusses. We refinished the hardwood floors throughout, and reworked the kitchen on a similar footprint with a completely new style of cabinetry, proof that a transformation doesn’t always require moving walls.
